Being Me Digital Workshops

In February 2025, I co-developed and co-facilitated a series of workshops and after-school clubs called Being Me Digital. This happened in collaboration with other freelancers and with Can't Sit Still - A Bristol based charity, that uses creativity and culture to disrupt social inequalities; inspiring individuals, connecting communities and spreading joy.

Being Me Digital is an offer for girls and non-binary young people with autism to spend some time thinking about, crafting and digitizing a space in which they would like to be. We're asking what individuals need to feel safe, to feel bubbly or to experience sensory joy.
In a four day workshop series and multiple after-schools clubs, participants had access to crafting materials, inspirations, as well as a space where it's okay to just be you! Throughout, we introduced a range of different digital tools, such as 3D scanning, motion capture, AI avatar creation, and AR Image Target tracking.
I truely loved the vibe of the sessions, meeting a bunch of wonderful people and creating my personal space alongside the participants. I learned a lot about autism, about different ways of being creative and about introducing digital tools and ideas to young people.

Below are some progress pictures of spaces that participants created, as well as a digitized version of all spaces at the end of the workshops.
